Carla graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a degree in literature and academic licensure. As a teacher at Lake House Academy, her happiest moments are watching as students understand concepts and, in turn, experience their own sense of joy.

When not teaching, Carla enjoys reading, walking her dachshunds, traveling, cooking, baking, crocheting, volunteering in the community, and enjoying time with family.
