Each student at Lake House Academy participates in daily onsite exercise as well as evening and weekend experiential activity curriculum. We work with locals to integrate our students into community programs so they can explore their hobbies and passions while building new relationships.
Our approach at Lake House is to meet each student where they are and help them find new ways to move forward. We create an individualized growth plan for every student that addresses their unique challenges and strategizes methods to meet their goals.
Lake House Academy prioritizes creating fun and engaging opportunities for our students to participate in experiential activities, which often helps them discover healthy outlets they enjoy and love. From skating at the local roller rink, exploring nearby waterfalls, and participating in community service projects, our students spend most evenings and weekends expanding their skills.
Lake House Academy’s experiential programming engages students in activities that allow them to step outside their comfort zone and build new mastery and a love for the outdoors. Year-round activities include mountain biking, hiking, and rock climbing. In the summer, students enjoy kayaking, canoeing, and camping.
Our students also get to explore activities they are passionate about while working one-on-one with our caregivers on topics like identity development, self-esteem, and self-worth. Some favorite community classes available to students include karate and guitar.
