A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Carlee grew up in nature and loved all things science. She attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Carlee is also a former North Carolina wildlife rehabilitator and has over 6 years of experience tending to domestic and wildlife animal species.

In her free time, Carlee enjoys spending time with her husband and new puppy, Lucca. She also reads, swims, and volunteers with a local wildlife organization.
