Academic Approach at LHA

Lake House Academy provides a seamless academic transition from the student’s current school to a comprehensively designed Individual Academic Plan at Lake House to a thorough academic report with recommendations to the school that the student will transition into.

The student, her parents, referral sources and the student's teachers are contacted once the student arrives in order to complete their Individual Academic Plan. Classroom observations of behaviors and work by teacher and therapists by using product and assessment tools are combined with aforementioned input to create an accurate and successful plan for each student. Curriculum from the student’s school is requested prior to or upon admission in order that we keep the student current on instructional content covered at the next step in her academic path while living and learning at Lake House Academy.
